MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) PROGRAM: EXPERT CO-TEACHES THE RISK MANAGEMENT MODULE

The Risk Management subject in the MBA classes 29A and 29B is designed to provide students with a practical understanding of professional knowledge. The course is co-taught by Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh from the Faculty of Business Administration and Msc. Pham Hai Au, the Risk Management Consulting Director at PWC Vietnam with over 20 years of experience in senior management roles in finance, accounting, auditing, and corporate risk management at leading companies within the financial and banking sector in Vietnam. 

Msc. Pham Hai Au leads a session on Enterprise Operational Risk Management, covering the enterprise’s operational risk management framework, operational risk management tools, and common operational risk management situations encountered by businesses. In addition, students are guided to delve into researching machine learning tools used for identifying, evaluating, and monitoring operational risks in today’s business environment. 

The Risk Management module is a crucial component of the Master of Business Administration program at the Faculty of Business Administration – Foreign Trade University. This module aims to provide students with in-depth and advanced knowledge of financial management, including the enterprise risk management framework, principles, structure, risk appetite, identification and measurement techniques, risk assessment, risk handling, and the establishment of key risk indicators (KRIs) within an enterprise.
