The Entrepreneur spirit, Entrepreneurship and SME Management Course is one of the contents of the EMBA program – Foreign Trade University to equip students with knowledge and skills to practice new business projects. With an applied oriented education, the course invited a guest speaker who are a businessman with many years of business experience – Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thang – Deputy Director of Belcholat Chocolate Joint Stock Company and the start-up businesses consultant- Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy – Lecturer, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Foreign Trade University.

The sharing session on the content “Finance for startups” by Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy provided general knowledge about forms of capital raising for startups and financial management methods in startup businesses. The sharing session also provides the opportunity for project teams to be consulted on business solutions. Then the groups continued to develop and verify the business model.

Students had a start-up project evaluation session through displaying sample products and presenting business plans to a guest speaker who is an experienced businessman – Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thang. Through the final project evaluation session, in addition to receiving feedback and suggestions, students can also listen to valuable startup experiences from the expert. An interesting thing is that 100% of startup projects have a commitment to be implemented in practice. This activity not only creates a hypothetical environment for students to be exposed to the reality of business implementation, but is also an opportunity to discuss with experts. At the end of the presentation, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thang said that he hopes he can join the similar activities in the future.
