Inspiring Future Product Leaders: Digital Product Management Talk with Lotte Finance Expert

As part of the E-commerce course (TMA306E), within the Advance Bachelor Program in Business Administration – Cohort 62, students had the chance to join an exciting guest talk by Mr. Le Cuong Thinh – Digital Product Manager at Lotte Finance.

The event, held on Jun 04, 2025 in Room B507, offered students valuable perspectives on Digital Product Management – one of the most essential and fast-evolving roles in the digital business world today.

With extensive experience building digital products for startups in travel tech, fintech, and e-commerce, Mr. Thinh inspired students to think critically about what it really takes to build and manage a successful digital product.

Product mindset: A must-have for digital business students

Mr. Thinh began with a simple but powerful question: “What makes a good product?” From there, he guided students through the product journey:

  • Identifying real user needs
  • Creating and validating MVPs
  • Collaborating across teams (tech, UX, marketing)
  • Measuring success and driving continuous improvement

By sharing real-life projects and challenges he faced, the speaker emphasized the need for user empathy, agile thinking, and problem-solving — all crucial skills for future digital leaders.

Open discussion and real inspiration

The interactive session saw many students asking thought-provoking questions about:

  • Career opportunities in product management
  • What skills to develop early in university
  • Whether business students (non-tech) can become Product Managers

With his engaging and approachable style, Mr. Le Cuong Thinh not only clarified the path to product careers, but also motivated students to believe in their potential to contribute to digital innovation — regardless of their background.
