On September 10, 2026, lecturers and first-year students of the International Bachelor’s Program in Digital Human Resource Management and Organizational Development (DHRM-OD) came together for their first First Meeting – a meaningful occasion for new faces to meet, connect, and officially begin their four-year journey at Foreign Trade University.
Beginning with Connection and Sharing
Rather than starting with lectures or academic concepts, the First Meeting opened with interactive activities and informal conversations. From the initial moments of hesitation, the K65 freshmen gradually became more open and confident, sharing their strengths and connecting with new friends.
For a newly formed cohort, this was an important first step toward building an environment where every member can proactively express themselves, share with others, and contribute to creating the unique identity of the DHRM-OD community.
When Management Goes Beyond Managing
One of the highlights of the meeting was the sharing session with representatives from the School of Business, the Faculty of Business Administration, and the lecturers in charge of the Digital Human Resource Management and Organizational Development Program.
Through practical and engaging discussions, K65 students had the opportunity to discover a new perspective on human resource management: in today’s context, human resource management is not only about people, but also about technology, data, and how organizations continuously develop.
These elements also form the distinctive characteristics of the Digital Human Resource Management and Organizational Development Program – a field at the intersection of people, technology, and organizational development.
Accompanying K65 on the Journey Ahead
At the First Meeting, freshmen also had the opportunity to learn about their four-year learning pathway and academic orientation, while listening to guidance and sharing from lecturers who will accompany them throughout their journey of learning and personal growth at Foreign Trade University.
Every long journey begins with the first steps. The First Meeting not only marked the beginning of a new academic year, but also served as the starting point for K65 HRM-OD’s journey of learning, connecting, exploring, and growing.
