Within the framework of the “Entrepreneurship” course, taught directly by MA. Bui Kim Ha, students of the Standard Program, Faculty of Business Administration, had the valuable opportunity to participate in a special guest sharing session with speaker Nguyen To Nga – an alumna of the Faculty of Business Administration, Foreign Trade University, and Founder of several widely recognized fashion brands, including Maiimer Designs, Berry Baby, and Workleisure Studio.
Drawing upon many years of entrepreneurial experience and hands-on operational expertise in the fashion industry – spanning women’s officewear, sustainable children’s fashion, and the export of high-end fashion products to international markets – Ms. Nguyen To Nga offered students exceptionally insightful, practical, and inspiring perspectives on the broader landscape of Vietnam’s fashion business sector, as well as the pathway toward global market expansion.
Throughout the session, guest speaker Nguyen To Nga guided students through her own inspiring entrepreneurial journey, from her early days as a student at Foreign Trade University nurturing a passion for fashion, to her gradual growth and development into a seasoned and resilient entrepreneur in the field.
The session unfolded in a highly dynamic atmosphere, marked by a series of questions raised by students on topics such as methods for identifying entrepreneurial ideas, approaches to building effective business models, and strategies for flexibly responding to volatile market conditions. Ms. To Nga’s dedication, enthusiasm, and approachable style of sharing enabled students to examine the challenges of entrepreneurship from a deeper and more comprehensive perspective. Through this lens, starting a business was shown to be far more than simply following short-lived trends or creating products of only temporary value; rather, it represents a genuine challenge requiring a profound understanding of the market, the effective management of limited resources, and the cultivation of a distinctive brand value system capable of driving both short-term breakthroughs and long-term sustainable growth.
The invaluable practical lessons shared by Ms. Nguyen To Nga will undoubtedly serve as a meaningful foundation, empowering students to confidently apply the knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world practice, as they gradually build solid and sustainable business ventures in the future.
