On September 26, 2026, College of Business and the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Foreign Trade University organized an orientation meeting for students of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Cohort 12A and Cohort 12B. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey while providing an opportunity for students to connect with the University and faculty members.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, Vice Dean of College of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Quan; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong, lecturers at College of Business; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, staff member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies; and students from EMBA Cohort 12A and Cohort 12B.
Opening the program, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh provided an overview of College of Business, its development orientation, and its core values in developing high-quality management and leadership talent. She also introduced key characteristics of the EMBA program at Foreign Trade University, giving students a broader understanding of the learning environment, faculty, and development opportunities throughout the program.

Following the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Quan discussed the curriculum structure, learning orientation, and extracurricular activities designed to support students throughout the program. In addition to academic coursework, the EMBA program emphasizes the connection between management knowledge and business practice through networking activities, professional talks, corporate engagement, and field visits. These activities provide opportunities for students to exchange management experiences, expand their professional networks, and gain insights into practical challenges facing managers and business leaders.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa Hong also introduced communication channels and coordination mechanisms between students, the University, faculty members, and academic support units. Maintaining effective and regular communication among these stakeholders contributes to an open and proactive learning environment in which students’ needs and perspectives can be appropriately addressed.
Beyond providing essential information before the commencement of the academic program, the orientation meeting also offered students from EMBA Cohort 12A and 12B an opportunity to meet, exchange perspectives, and gradually establish a connected learning community. Given the program’s focus on professionals holding managerial and executive positions, the practical experience of each student represents an important source of knowledge that complements formal academic learning.
Representatives of the two cohorts, the class leaders of EMBA 12A and EMBA 12B, expressed their readiness to embark on this new academic journey, while emphasizing their commitment to active participation in program activities and their role in strengthening connections among students, the University, and the business community. Their perspectives reflected a shared aspiration to build an EMBA community characterized by proactiveness, responsibility, collaboration, and mutual development.

The orientation meeting concluded in an open and engaging atmosphere, marking the beginning of a new chapter for EMBA Cohort 12A and Cohort 12B at Foreign Trade University.
With its emphasis on combining contemporary management knowledge, practical experience, and multidimensional professional networks, the EMBA program aims not only to enhance students’ professional and managerial capabilities but also to foster a community of managers and business leaders who learn from one another, share experiences, and contribute to value creation for businesses and society.
