MIDTERM SHOWCASE OF THE DIGITAL BUSINESS PROJECT COURSE FOR K63 DIGITAL MARKETING STUDENTS

The class session was more than an opportunity for students to present their business ideas. It also provided K63 Digital Marketing students with hands-on experience in a pitching format and valuable exposure to practical perspectives from the business community.

As part of the Digital Business Project course, taught by Mr. Nguyen Anh Viet, Lecturer at the Faculty of International Business, College of Business – Foreign Trade University, K63 Digital Marketing students participated in a showcase with the support of Mr. Tran Quy Hien, Founder & CEO of Ecomstone.

Unlike a conventional presentation, student teams prepared posters, products, and project displays around the classroom to create an interactive showcase space. Each team took turns presenting its project, sharing key consumer insights, business directions, and implementation strategies to the lecturer, the business representative, and fellow students.

The pitching format created an engaging and interactive learning environment in which students not only presented their work but also had the opportunity to exchange ideas, raise questions, and receive immediate feedback following each presentation.

The participation of Ecomstone, a provider of cross-border e-commerce solutions and an official Amazon Service Provider in Vietnam, brought a practical business perspective to the showcase, particularly regarding the journey of Vietnamese brands entering international markets. Established in 2018 by professionals with direct experience in Amazon-based businesses, Ecomstone has supported Vietnamese brands in accessing and developing their presence across global markets.

Following each presentation, the business representative provided specific feedback and constructive observations, focusing on the practicality and feasibility of each project. Questions from the perspective of a company directly operating in cross-border e-commerce encouraged students to reconsider their ideas from different angles: whether the product addresses a specific customer need, whether the consumer insight is sufficiently developed, whether the idea is feasible in practice, and what challenges Vietnamese brands may need to address when entering international markets.

Beyond a midterm assignment, the showcase provided K63 Digital Marketing students with a more practical understanding of digital business, cross-border e-commerce, and the “Go Global” journey of Vietnamese brands.

The activity also offered an opportunity for students to further develop their business thinking, presentation skills, and ability to transform an idea on paper into a project with practical direction and value.
