FCB × VIET A BANK: EXPANDING COOPERATION, CONNECTING KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE

Foreign Trade University – College of Business (FCB, FTU) recently held an important working session with representatives from Viet A Bank, aimed at exchanging views and discussing strategic directions for future cooperation. The objective was to strengthen the connection between academic training, the business community, and practical business operations, while further expanding hands-on experiential opportunities and comprehensively developing the capabilities of the institution’s students and faculty members.

Representing Foreign Trade University – College of Business at the working session were Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh – Vice President of the College of Business; Associate Professor Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien – Head of the Faculty of International Business, College of Business; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Khanh Chi – Lecturer, Faculty of Business Administration, College of Business; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hanh – Chief of Office, College of Business.

Representing Viet A Commercial Joint Stock Bank were Mr. Tran Trung Kien – Chief Transformation Officer; Mr. Le Vu Quan – Head of Business Development, Corporate Banking Division; Mr. Le Thanh Nam – Director of VietABank West Hanoi; Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh – Head of Personal Banking, VietABank West Hanoi; and Ms. Nguyen Dieu Linh – Senior Specialist, Corporate Banking Department, VietABank West Hanoi.

Within the framework of the session, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on several key areas of cooperation, each carrying substantial practical significance and long-term value.

First and foremost, regarding support for students, both parties reached consensus on rolling out a diverse range of student support programs, including valuable scholarships, internship opportunities, and meaningful hands-on experiences at the enterprise, thereby helping to strengthen the alignment between the University’s training programs and the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market.

In addition, with respect to connecting the business sector with teaching activities, Viet A Bank expressed its interest in participating in co-teaching initiatives, directly sharing valuable practical experience and real-world business case studies, thereby helping to bring an authentic enterprise perspective into the classroom and progressively enhancing the applied nature of the University’s training activities.

Regarding faculty capacity development and professional training, both parties discussed the potential for close collaboration in training initiatives and enhancing the professional competencies of personnel on both sides, while also actively pursuing joint research, consulting, and knowledge-transfer activities going forward.

Furthermore, a noteworthy area of discussion centered on promoting innovation and digitalization in education, wherein both parties explored possible cooperation in educational technology, business simulation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital solutions, with the shared goal of enhancing the quality of the learning experience while effectively supporting management and teaching operations.

Notably, both parties reached strong consensus on the shared vision of developing cooperation programs that are flexible, practical, and mutually beneficial, with the College of Business serving as the focal coordinating unit, proactively developing collaborative activities aligned with the distinct strengths of each party.

From the lecture hall to the enterprise, from knowledge to practice – every new connection forged represents a valuable opportunity to jointly create lasting value.

This working session is regarded as an important first step toward deeper and more extensive cooperation between Foreign Trade University – College of Business and Viet A Bank in the time ahead, with the shared goal of successfully building a comprehensive ecosystem connecting education, enterprise, technology, and innovation.
