On July 20, 2024, Foreign Trade University attended the 2024 Open Day which is organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), General Department of Education organized by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, with the companion of Vingroup, held on the campus of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
This is the second consultation session in 2024, held just a few days after the Ministry of Education and Training announced high school graduation exam scores. With a scale of 153 camps of prestigious, quality and brand-name Universities, Colleges, and Professional Intermediaries throughout the country, the Event attracted the participation of thousands of high school students and parents, Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Education in Hanoi and other provinces and cities in the North and Central regions.


At the same time, in Ho Chi Minh City, the program was also held at Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh City National University with a scale of 157 consulting booths from 84 organizations.
This is also a program in a series of activities under the admission plan of Foreign Trade University. At the event, Associate Professor, PhD, Vu Thi Hien – Head of Department of Undergraduate Studies represented the University to directly participate in the Advisory Council. Understanding the concerns of parents and students about whether they can pass the learning major they have interest in? Is it possible to fail all aspirations? Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Hien gives tips for registering aspirations. Accordingly, candidates need to identify 3 groups: Group 1 is their dream industry, the jobs they really like. Group 2 is the “fit” group, including those who are not sure of passing and those who want to be admitted early. Group 3 is the group with low aspirations to avoid risks and has the highest admission rate. “However, you need to understand that you should not arrange your aspirations in the group order as above, but just choose according to the rule that the major you like best will be ranked first, and those you don’t like will be ranked last” – Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Hien shared.
The consulting booth of Foreign Trade University attracted a large number of parents and students to visit and learn. Lecturers, University staff and students from the Student Forum Club of Foreign Trade University as well as Faculties/Institutes enthusiastically guided, advised, oriented and provided useful information to help students choose appropriate majors and admission registration options. In addition, the teachers also introduced the school’s new training programs, helping students have an overview of the learning environment at university.
