Some journeys of youth are measured not only by the distances travelled, but also by the positive values created and shared with the community. Launched in April 2026, after nearly six months of ideation, planning, and implementation, the “Gieo Nắng 2026” project, organized by IBConnect FTU under the Faculty of International Business, School of Business, Foreign Trade University, has officially concluded, leaving behind meaningful contributions and memorable experiences.
Under the leadership of Project Leader Bùi Bình Minh, a student of the High-Quality International Business Program, Cohort K63, more than 40 students from various academic programs at Foreign Trade University and other universities came together to transform a community-oriented idea into a concrete, sustained, and responsible course of action.
FROM BUSINESS IDEAS TO COMMUNITY ACTION
A distinctive feature of “Gieo Nắng 2026” was its proactive approach to generating resources for community activities. Rather than relying solely on fundraising and sponsorship mobilization, project members conducted needs-based research, developed business ideas, and directly implemented business activities to generate financial resources for the community initiative.
From product selection and business planning to sales, communications, financial management, and stakeholder engagement, students took an active role throughout the entire process. The project therefore provided a practical environment in which students could apply their business knowledge, strengthen their organizational and management capabilities, and develop a stronger sense of initiative and social responsibility.

The project also demonstrated a meaningful intersection between entrepreneurship and community service: knowledge and skills acquired in the university environment can extend beyond individual development and be transformed into practical and sustainable contributions to society.
A CLEAN WATER FACILITY IN HA GIANG
On August 27–28, 2026, the project delegation visited Ta Van Semi-Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minority Students in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province, to inspect and hand over the clean water facility and organize community activities with the teachers and students ahead of the new academic year.
With a total value of more than VND 128 million, the project delivered the following contributions:
A clean water facility worth VND 78 million, including:
- 01 drilled well providing a clean water source;
- 01 high-capacity water filtration system;
- 02 large-capacity water storage tanks;
- 06 handwashing stations supporting school hygiene.
360 winter coats, worth VND 23.5 million, were presented to students to provide additional support during the harsh winter conditions in the highlands.

Mid-Autumn Festival gifts and a school celebration program, worth VND 27 million, including:
- 350 mooncakes;
- 200 bottles of milk tea;
- 60 cases of PepsiCo soft drinks.
Beyond addressing students’ daily needs for water and school hygiene, the clean water facility is intended to create a lasting impact by contributing to improved learning and living conditions as well as long-term health and hygiene for students in the highland border area.
CONNECTING THROUGH SHARED EXPERIENCES
In addition to inspecting the facility and presenting gifts, the student volunteers organized a range of activities with the teachers and students, including team games, cultural performances, and a campfire evening.
These activities created a joyful atmosphere ahead of the new school year while providing opportunities for students and volunteers to interact, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. The laughter, excitement, and moments shared around the campfire became memorable highlights of the journey for everyone involved.
A JOURNEY OF STUDENT GROWTH
“Gieo Nắng 2026” was more than a charity initiative or fundraising campaign. It was also a practical learning journey through which students applied their knowledge to real-world challenges, from developing ideas and business plans to organizing business activities, managing resources, and implementing community initiatives.
Through this process, students had the opportunity not only to strengthen their professional knowledge and execution skills, but also to gain a deeper understanding of the social responsibility of young people. Every business activity, resource mobilized, and contribution made was directed toward a shared goal: creating practical and sustainable value for the community.

The project reflects the spirit of students at the School of Business: taking initiative, developing creative approaches to resource generation, persevering in execution, and taking responsibility for the values they choose to pursue.
WORDS OF GRATITUDE
The Organizing Committee of “Gieo Nắng 2026” would like to express its sincere gratitude to all individuals, organizations, and sponsors; the teachers of Ta Van Semi-Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minority Students; local authorities; customers who supported the project’s business activities; and all volunteers who placed their trust in the project and contributed throughout the journey.
The support of every individual and organization helped transform ideas developed on paper into a functioning clean water facility, warm winter coats delivered directly to students, and meaningful activities at the school.
Although “Gieo Nắng 2026” has come to an end, the values created through the journey will continue to make an impact. The clean water facility will continue to serve students, the winter coats will accompany them through the cold season, and the spirit of proactively creating value for the community will continue to inspire future journeys.
“Gieo Nắng 2026” stands as a meaningful milestone in the growth of young people who choose to use their knowledge, capabilities, and actions to contribute to the community.
