[RECAP] DIGITAL BUSINESS & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING – FROM STRATEGIC IDEAS TO COMPREHENSIVE E-COMMERCE SYSTEMS

On the evening of June 9, within the framework of the E-commerce course (TMAE306), students from the High-Quality Program (K62) of the Faculty of Business Administration successfully delivered their group project presentations under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Van. The session provided practical insights into the process of building and operating a business model on digital platforms.

Rather than approaching the subject through purely theoretical concepts, the structure of the E-commerce course project guides students toward direct application in a real-world business context. To complete the project, each group of 5–6 students acted as real business owners, executing a well-structured digitalization roadmap: from defining market segments (STP) and analyzing strategic frameworks (SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s 5 Forces) to establishing financial plans and operational schedules.

The highlight that set these presentations apart was the tangible realization of business models through the teams’ Web Presence. Moving beyond conventional essays that stop at the conceptual stage, these High-Quality Program students directly designed, optimized, and managed real-world digital ecosystems, including:

  • Corporate Websites: Wix, WordPress, Odoo, etc.

  • E-stores/Webshops: TikTok Shop, Facebook Shop, Shopee, Etsy, etc.

  • Social Media Channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.

In addition to publishing content and visuals that align with their brand identity, many teams successfully integrated advanced features such as live chat, smart shopping carts, and product customization solutions to enhance user experience.

The final deliverables demonstrated that the students successfully utilized their professional knowledge, digital skills, and strategic thinking acquired throughout the E-commerce course to develop and refine functional digital business models. These hands-on experiences serve as a solid foundation for their future career paths in e-commerce management and digital business.

Congratulations to all teams on completing their course projects excellently! We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Van for delivering a highly practical approach to the course, equipping students with a digital mindset and invaluable real-world insights into digital business management.
