On the morning of Saturday, March 21, K62 and K63 students from the Advanced Program in Business Administration at Foreign Trade University, within the framework of the course Principles of Management and Operations, had the opportunity to participate in a factory tour at the stainless steel manufacturing plant of Hoang Vu Inox Group.
The visit was not only a practical learning experience but also an opportunity for students to connect classroom theories with real-world operational practices in a manufacturing enterprise. During the tour, students were introduced to the company’s history, operational scale, and development orientation within the stainless steel industry, a sector that plays an important role across various industrial and daily-life applications.
One of the most impressive parts of the tour was the opportunity to observe the production line firsthand. Students were able to follow each stage of the manufacturing process, from raw material processing, rolling, cutting, and fabrication to product finishing. Through these observations, concepts from the course such as process design, capacity planning, and quality control became more practical, vivid, and easier to understand.

In addition, company representatives shared valuable insights into operational management challenges, including cost optimization, product quality assurance, supply chain management, and the application of technology in manufacturing. The discussion and Q&A session was highly interactive, with students actively raising practical questions that reflected their curiosity and eagerness to learn.
The factory tour concluded with valuable knowledge, meaningful experiences, and deeper insights into the realities of operations management. More importantly, the trip helped students gain a clearer understanding of professional working environments, thereby preparing them more effectively for their future careers.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Hoang Vu Inox Group for the warm welcome and support in providing students with such a meaningful and enriching learning experience. We hope that in the future there will be more collaborative activities between universities and enterprises to create valuable practical opportunities for students.
