On July 15, K63 Wannabe students of the High quality program in Hospitality participated in the National Youth Skills Day event and had a memorable visit to the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake hotel.
On the university side, the program has the participation of Associate Professor. Dr. Pham Thu Huong – Vice Rector of Foreign Trade University, Dr. Vu Thi Hien, Head of Department of Undergraduate Studies, Associate Professor. Dr. Le Thai Phong, Faculty of Business Administration, PhD. Nguyen Thuy Anh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, with teachers and K63 Wannabe students of the High quality program in Hospitality. On the hotel side, the National Youth Skills Day event had the participation of Mr. Venkat Sundarea, Hotel Manager, Ms. Le Thuy Duong, Area Learning and Development Manager and Mr. Alex Ngo, Assistant Outlet Manager, InterContinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel
At the beginning of the event, Ms. Le Thuy Duong inspired the students preparing to enter the industry about job positions, orientations and open opportunities of the industry. Mr. Venkat Sundarea, Hotel Manager, has advice for young people about the importance of attitude, approach and view of problems. Having a serious, positive and proactive attitude will help you improve the quality of your work, creating prestige and trust. Mr. Alex Ngo, Assistant Outlet Manager, who was given the opportunity to be promoted twice in 2 years, inspired everyone to constantly learn and accumulate experience, along with their existing knowledge, and apply them appropriately in work. The speakers emphasized that success does not come from big steps, but from small daily efforts.
Coming to the National Youth Skills Day event, students can also participate in a Hotel tour around the InterContinental Hanoi hotel located on the peaceful West Lake water. In particular, FTU K63 Wannabe had the opportunity to practice setting up banquet tables under the guidance of Mr. Bui Quang Thai, Supervisor of Milan Saigon restaurant. These experiences really give students a very realistic perspective on their future industry and profession.
