[RECAP] Scientific Conference: “AI-driven Business Transformation: Strategy, Ethics, and Innovation”

On 04 December 2025, in the formal yet welcoming academic atmosphere of Foreign Trade University (FTU), the scientific conference titled “AI-driven Business Transformation: Strategy, Ethics, and Innovation” was successfully held. The event attracted a large number of researchers, lecturers, and students interested in the transformative wave brought about by artificial intelligence.

The conference was honoured to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Member of the University Council, together with representatives from various units across the University.

From the international partner side, the presence of Prof. Sridhar Sundaram, Dean of the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, California State University, Fullerton, was a significant highlight, reaffirming the commitment to deeper research and academic collaboration between the two institutions. Representing the Faculty of Business Administration were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thai Phong, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, Vice Dean; Dr. Bui Thu Hien, Vice Dean; along with many Heads and Deputy Heads of divisions and specialised units.

The atmosphere became even more vibrant with the participation of scholars from within and outside FTU, lecturers from multiple universities, and FTU students who joined the conference with great enthusiasm.

In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy delivered an insightful speech highlighting the importance of artificial intelligence in the context of global business model innovation and strategic management. She emphasized that AI is not merely a technological tool, but also a driving force shaping new strategic thinking. FTU aims to become a pioneering institution in education and research related to digital transformation; therefore, forums such as this conference serve as important catalysts to connect knowledge, foster collaboration, and nurture future experts. Her message set a positive tone and provided a strong guiding thread for the conference discussions.

This was followed by a series of inspiring keynote presentations, including:

  • Prof. Sridhar Sundaram, who offered an international perspective on AI-driven business transformation strategies.

  • Dr. Nguyen Huu Xuyen, who presented national directions for promoting research and applications of emerging technologies.

The subsequent paper presentation sessions were dynamic and engaging, featuring practical studies on digital capabilities, innovation behaviour, the impact of AI on management, business model innovation, and applications in the construction sector. Each presentation contributed new data, policy implications, and valuable recommendations for the research community.

In the closing session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thai Phong, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, delivered the concluding remarks. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the research contributions, sharing, and discussions throughout the event. He also emphasized that the conference was not only a venue for presenting research outcomes, but also a space for exchange, dialogue, and networking among scholars. The AI-related topics discussed opened up new interdisciplinary research directions aligned with current trends in innovation and modern management. Accordingly, the Faculty of Business Administration will continue to promote academic activities and encourage research groups to collaborate both within and beyond the University. His closing remarks concluded the conference with an open spirit and a clear development orientation for the Faculty’s academic community.
