SEMINAR ON “RISK MANAGEMENT IN SUPPLY CHAIN OF MULTINATIONAL CORPORATION” PROVIDES PRACTICAL INSIGHTS FOR FTU BUSINESS STUDENTS

On March 19, 2026, within the framework of the course Principles of Management and Operations for the International Program Class K62, the Faculty of Business Administration at Foreign Trade University organized a seminar titled “Risk Management in Supply Chain of Multinational Corporation”. The event had the honor of welcoming Ms. Xuan Le and Mr. Jason Barfoot from Brock University, Canada.

During the seminar, Ms. Xuan Le delivered insightful and experience based perspectives drawn from her academic and professional journey across four countries. Her presentation enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of risk management in global supply chains, logistics operations in multinational environments, and the differences in business culture across major economies. The session effectively bridged academic knowledge with real world applications in international business contexts.

In addition, Mr. Jason Barfoot introduced students to the MBA Co-op program at Brock University, offering valuable information on international study opportunities and career development pathways. The MBA program is ranked within the Top 251–300 in the QS Full-time MBA Rankings 2026 and is placed 13th in Canada. Brock University is also accredited by AACSB, a distinction achieved by only a small percentage of business schools worldwide.

The MBA Co-op program at Brock University offers several distinctive advantages for Business Administration students. Notably, applicants are not required to have two to three years of work experience and can pursue the MBA immediately after graduation. The program provides six areas of specialization including Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Operations Management, and Marketing. The curriculum is structured with a foundational first year followed by an advanced, application oriented second year.

A key highlight of the program is the Co-op component, which allows students to gain paid work experience ranging from four to twelve months during their studies. Students have opportunities to work with leading organizations such as Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY, and Hydro One, with a high participation rate. The university offers comprehensive support including career orientation, CV preparation, interview training, and employer connections.

Furthermore, the program provides attractive scholarships covering up to 50 percent of tuition fees, including the MBA Entrance Scholarship and the International Student Ambassador Award.

The seminar provided valuable academic and practical insights for students of the Faculty of Business Administration, enhancing their understanding of global supply chain risk management while expanding their awareness of international education opportunities. The Faculty sincerely appreciates the contributions of the guest speakers and looks forward to further strengthening academic and professional collaborations in the future.
