With the aim of enhancing the coherence of the theory with application, enhancing the learning outcomes and building the domestic graduate training programs in line with international standards, Foreign Trade University in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Fund (Federal Republic of Germany) in Vietnam held a scientific seminar with the participation of speaker – Professor HERMANN SIMON – the leading consultant in strategy and marketing on the list of Thinkers50 (2017), who is known more than MICHAEL PORTER by the Managers in German-speaking countries.
This reputed speaker is also the author of many best-selling books in the world such as Hidden Champions, Confessions of Pricing Mann, Price Management … So far, Professor Hermann Simon has published more than 35 books which are translated into 26 different languages . He is also the Honorary Chairman of Strategic Consultancy company Simon-Kucher & Partners (founded in 1985 with more than 1100 professionals and 34 consultancies around the world). Prior to becoming a management consultant, he was a professor of business administration and marketing at University of Mainz (1989-1995) and Bielefeld (1979-1989). He is also a visiting professor at Harvard Business School, Stanford, London Business School, INSEAD, Keio University of Tokyo and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Prof. Hermann Simon will share the content of “Anonymous Champions – Global Pioneers, lessons from market leading businesses.” The seminar also welcomes sharings of Prof. Savas Tumis (from Vietnam-Germany University) about the topic “Enterprises with 100% foreign investing capital and whether European Venture can become anonymous champions in the Asian market. Lessons learned from China “. In the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Vice president of Foreign Trade University and and Mr. Nguyen Tien Lap – Lawyer and Senior Business Consultant also share their viewpoints from both national and business perspectives.
