As part of the Legal Regulations in E-commerce course, taught by Dr. Ha Cong Anh Bao, Vice Rector in charge of the School of Law and Political Science at Foreign Trade University, K62 students of the Digital Marketing Program attended a guest lecture on legal issues in marketing, featuring Mr. Ta Quang Thach, Senior Legal Counsel at Kangaroo International Joint Venture JSC.

In business practice, marketing requires not only creativity and an understanding of market dynamics but also compliance with applicable legal requirements. How can businesses develop creative marketing campaigns while ensuring legal compliance? Where is the boundary between compelling advertising messages and content that may expose a company to legal risks? These questions were explored through real-world case studies from Vietnam and international markets, enabling students to examine legal principles in the context of challenges businesses may encounter when implementing marketing activities.
The session provided K62 Digital Marketing students with a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between marketing and law across different market environments. From content development and message selection to the use of images and public figures, as well as advertising on digital platforms, every marketing decision must be evaluated in terms of both communication effectiveness and legal compliance.

The legal perspectives shared during the session also highlighted the importance of identifying and managing risks throughout the marketing planning and implementation process. A professional marketer must possess not only creativity and market awareness but also a clear understanding of legal boundaries, the ability to assess the potential consequences of communication decisions, and a strong sense of professional responsibility.
The guest lecture served as a valuable opportunity to connect academic knowledge with business practice, helping K62 Digital Marketing students develop the foundational knowledge and critical thinking needed to incorporate legal considerations into the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing activities in the digital business environment.
