ORIENTATION DAY 2026 – A NEW BEGINNING FOR K65 STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, FOREIGN TRADE UNIVERSITY

On the evening of September 16, 2026, Orientation Day 2026 – Freshman Civic Orientation was held for K65 students of the Faculty of International Business, School of Business, Foreign Trade University (FTU). The program marked the beginning of a new journey of learning, connection, and personal development for the new cohort.

The program was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh, Vice President of the School of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien, Dean of the Faculty of International Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thu Hien, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Chief of Office of the School of Business, together with faculty members and a large number of K65 students of the Faculty of International Business.

An Introduction to the School of Business and Academic Orientation

At the program, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh provided an overview of the School of Business, its development orientation, and the learning environment offered to students. The session provided K65 students with a broader understanding of the School’s educational direction, development opportunities, and values throughout their university journey.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thu Hien introduced the educational philosophy underlying the Faculty’s academic programs, as well as the CDIM career-oriented learning model implemented by Foreign Trade University from the 2026–2027 academic year. She also presented the academic and personal development pathway that students can pursue throughout their four years at the University.

K65 students were also introduced to the Faculty of International Business and its undergraduate programs, including:

  • Advanced Program in International Business and Business Data Analytics – iHons;
  • High-Quality Program in International Business;
  • Standard Program in International Business;
  • International Career-Oriented Program in Digital Marketing;
  • Smart Digital Commerce and Business Innovation Program.

Insights from Outstanding Students

A key highlight of the program was the sharing session featuring outstanding students from the School of Business and the Faculty of International Business. Through their experiences in academic study, research, entrepreneurship, international exchange, extracurricular activities, and career development, the student speakers provided K65 with practical perspectives on the diverse opportunities available throughout their university journey.

Pham Le Cam Nhung, a K62 student of the High-Quality Program in International Business, achieved a GPA of 3.77/4.0 and received the FTU Excellent Scholarship in three out of six consecutive semesters. She was also the Champion of the Kawai Startup 2026 competition, Co-founder of Parroto, and a recipient of the Future VPBanker 2025 Excellent Scholarship.

Bui Duc Minh, a K63 student of the Advanced Program in International Business and Business Data Analytics – iHons, achieved a GPA of 3.94/4.0, won the FTU – UQ Business Competition, and ranked among the Top 15 finalists of G’Contest: The Talented Economist 2026.

Vu Phuong Linh, a K62 student of the International Career-Oriented Program in Digital Marketing, was awarded the AIMS scholarship to participate in an exchange program at Hannam University, South Korea. She is currently a Content Creator and VJ for the “Chồ Mabby” channel and a Video Editor at Schannel.

Their stories demonstrated the diverse pathways available to students while highlighting the importance of initiative, continuous learning, and the ability to make meaningful use of opportunities throughout university life.

Recognizing Achievements and Welcoming K65

As part of the program, the Faculty of International Business recognized outstanding students of the Faculty as well as K65 freshmen with remarkable admission achievements, including National Excellent Student Competition awardees and valedictorians of the Faculty’s academic programs.

The recognition celebrated the achievements and efforts that students had demonstrated before entering university, while also marking the beginning of a new stage filled with opportunities, challenges, and possibilities for growth.

Outstanding admission results are a meaningful starting point. However, students’ university journeys will ultimately be shaped by their initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to make the most of the opportunities ahead.

Beyond the Classroom

In addition to academic activities, K65 students were introduced to student clubs under the professional sponsorship of the Faculty of International Business, including IBConnect FTU, Ecom FTU, IBC FTU, and MaC FTU.

These student organizations provide opportunities for students to expand their networks, develop practical skills, explore new ideas, and gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom.

Performances by K65 students, together with interactive sessions by FGC Guitar Club and MFC FTU – MC and Fashion Club, also contributed to an engaging and dynamic atmosphere throughout the program.

Beginning the K65 Journey

Orientation Day 2026 served not only as an opportunity for freshmen to gain essential information before embarking on their university journey, but also as a platform to explore different pathways in academic development, career preparation, extracurricular engagement, and personal growth at the School of Business, Foreign Trade University.

The Faculty of International Business wishes all K65 students a meaningful and fulfilling university journey. May they remain proactive in learning, open to new opportunities, willing to challenge their own limits, and ready to create their own distinctive paths at Foreign Trade University.
