On September 15th, 2026, within the framework of the Financial Management course taught directly by Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thu Hien, students had the valuable opportunity to participate in a specialized session with Ms. Dinh Dang Thuy Anh – Chief Financial Officer of a manufacturing enterprise and Expert at the World Energy Council (WEC) in Vietnam, who brings over 20 years of extensive experience in finance, investment, and green transition.
Opening the session with a specialized discussion on cash flow management, the speaker focused on issues directly connected to the realities of financial operations within enterprises. Through numerous concrete examples and vivid practical scenarios, students gained insight into cash flow management from the perspective of a finance professional working within an enterprise: which financial indicators require close monitoring, how to interpret financial signals, and how to make sound decisions to ensure that cash flow effectively supports business operations. These in-depth, practice-based analyses helped render classroom financial concepts more tangible and illustrated the critical role of cash flow monitoring in corporate governance.
Building upon the discussion of cash flow, the session subsequently expanded to cover ESG and Green Finance – topics that are receiving growing attention within both enterprise operations and the broader financial market. Drawing upon her extensive experience in consulting and implementing real-world projects, Ms. Thuy Anh shared valuable perspectives on the close relationship between ESG, corporate strategy, and sustainable development orientation. This provided students with a further opportunity to deepen their understanding of a field that is increasingly generating new demands and opportunities for the future financial workforce.
The session left a lasting impression through the speaker’s engaging delivery, as well as her dedication and enthusiasm throughout the sharing. Beyond professional knowledge, the speaker sincerely encouraged students to proactively pursue and equip themselves with knowledge of ESG and Green Finance while still at university. These are not merely trending topics, but are gradually becoming integral components of strategic, investment, and governance decisions within enterprises. Early engagement with this field may help students broaden their perspectives and better prepare for the evolving demands of the future labor market.
This specialized session contributed valuable practical perspectives to the Financial Management course, bridging classroom knowledge with real-world professional practice and helping students gain a clearer understanding of how financial knowledge is applied within enterprises. At the same time, the session helped expand students’ interest in ESG and Green Finance – fields that students may proactively explore as they prepare for their future career journeys.
