[RECAP] FACTORY TOUR AT HANOI BEER FACTORY – HABECO WITH K63 ADVANCED PROGRAM STUDENTS, FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

On April 24, 2026, K63 Advanced Program students from the Faculty of Business Administration, Foreign Trade University participated in a practical factory tour at the Hanoi Beer Factory – HABECO, Me Linh headquarters. The trip was part of a series of experiential learning activities designed to help students gain direct exposure to the management and operational models of large-scale manufacturing enterprises in the FMCG industry.

At the beginning of the program, representatives from Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (HABECO) introduced the history and development of Hanoi Beer, one of the most iconic and long-standing brands in Vietnam’s beverage industry. Students learned more about the company’s production scale, manufacturing system, sustainable development orientation, and strategies for maintaining competitive advantages in an increasingly demanding market.

One of the highlights of the tour was the opportunity to directly observe the closed-loop beer production line, providing students with a practical understanding of the entire process, from raw material selection, brewing and fermentation to bottling and final packaging. Insights shared by engineers and factory managers helped students better understand quality management, food safety standards, and the role of technology in modern manufacturing operations.

Beyond operational perspectives, the tour also served as a vivid real-world learning experience for the Management Accounting course. Through observation and discussions, students gained deeper insights into production cost classification and control in large-scale enterprises, the role of management accounting in planning and decision-making, and the relationship between cost, volume, and profit (CVP) within actual business operations. In addition, students recognized the importance of cross-functional collaboration among production, accounting, human resources, and supply chain departments in optimizing organizational performance.

Through this experience, classroom concepts became more practical and easier to understand through real processes, operational systems, and firsthand observations.

The factory tour not only enriched students’ academic knowledge but also helped them gain a clearer understanding of real working environments and professional expectations within business administration, management accounting, and operations management. It was also a valuable opportunity for students to better prepare themselves for their future career paths.

The K63 Advanced Program students from the Faculty of Business Administration would like to express sincere appreciation to the Board of Management and all staff members at Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (HABECO) for their warm welcome, insightful sharing, and support in creating such a meaningful and enriching practical learning experience. The knowledge and experiences gained from this trip will certainly become valuable assets in the students’ academic and professional journeys ahead.
